The Yard Index Florida landscaper rankings

Disclosure

The Yard Index is presented by D'Amico Digital, a marketing firm that works with landscapers and other local trades in Florida. Some businesses that appear on these lists are clients of D'Amico Digital.

Client status has no effect on ranking

Every business in a city is scored by the same formula from the same public data. Client status is not an input to that formula, is not stored on the record the ranking reads, and cannot be used to adjust a score. Nobody at D'Amico Digital can move a business up a list, and no one is told that we can. A business that hires D'Amico Digital and improves its rating, reviews, profile and website may rank higher afterwards, for the same reason any other business would.

No paid placement

There is no sponsorship, no advertising and no paid inclusion on these lists. We do not accept payment to add, remove, reorder or re-word an entry, and no affiliate links appear on a list page. Claiming a listing is free and adds a Verified mark only; it does not change the score.

What we publish

For each ranked business we publish the name, the composite score, the star rating, the review count, the number of reviews in the last 90 days, the share of recent reviews with an owner reply, the city or address and service area, the phone number and the website domain shown on the Google Business Profile, and a link to the profile on Google Maps. We do not publish review text, reviewer names, photos from the profile, or any figure we did not calculate from the public data.

We publish positive ordering only: a top ten per city. We do not publish a bottom of the market, a “worst of” list, or the ranks of businesses outside the top ten. Those ranks exist in our own data and on the private score page we send to the business itself.

Corrections

If something about your business is wrong on a list, email [email protected] with the business name and the city. Facts we hold are corrected on the next monthly build. Ratings, review counts and profile fields come from Google: if those are wrong, they need to be corrected on the Google profile, and our next build will pick the correction up.

To have a business removed from the public lists entirely, email the same address from an address at the business’s domain, or from the email on the Google profile. Removal takes effect on the next build.

Email

We email businesses we evaluate to tell them where they placed and to send the link to their score page. Every email carries an unsubscribe link and a postal address. You can remove yourself at /unsubscribe/ or by replying to any of our emails; removal is processed within 10 days and stops all future email from The Yard Index.
